D. Donovan, Sr. Reviewer, Midwest Book Review
‘“Bluebird” by local Tampa Bay financial thriller author Chris Kneer is one of those rare thrillers that hooks you with its tension but keeps you turning pages because you genuinely care about the characters caught up in the storm of the story.
Kneer blends suspense, emotional depth, and crisp, confident prose into a tax fraud criminal story that feels both intimate and cinematic. I could see this narrative as a film.
At the center is a protagonist – Jason Miles, a financial security expert at a bank – whose struggles and resilience make the stakes of the crime feel personal. Kneer doesn’t rely on cheap twists and turns; instead, he builds a steady, tightening sense of unease as secrets surface and loyalties are fractured along the way. The pacing is pitch‑perfect and quiet – and character‑driven moments give way to bursts of action that land with real impact.’ Read more.
